A nursing bra is radically different than any normal non-underwired bra. The traps are thicker, the fabric is usually softer and they have a flexible wire that is longer than non maternity bras.

- Chiffon
- A light material usually silk based.

- An extremely fine, synthetic fabric, crease resistant and easily washable.
- Nylon
- A Strong, resilient and synthetic fabric with excellence hardwearing durability.
- Polyamide
- Alternative to Nylon.
- Polyester
- A popular, strong hard-wearing synthetic fabric with low moisture absorbency for a quick drying process.
- Rayon
- Alternative to Nylon.
- Sheer
- A fabric so thin and fine that it is almost transparent.
- Spandex
- A fabric with a great deal of stretch and elasticity.
- Tulle
- A netted silk Fabric.
- Viscose
- Has a soft and silky feel, made from a cellulose solution.
